Protector is Scott Goldbaum’s first full EP in almost a decade.
Capturing this shadow was actually happenstance; with it, the idea of something looming struck a strong chord with me. The shadow could be a metaphor for both a void and time that has passed.
It sits in tension whether this shadowy figure is walking away or coming towards you, and this feeling of a hovering presence over something or someone, tying it back to the idea of a "protector." All of this sits in beautiful tension with the themes on many of the songs on the EP.
